Local Group Members at the AA Conference
Do you have a group member that has never been to the AA annual conference before? This year the Astrological Association have an amazing offer - we are offering each astrology group one reduced price conference place for £235. The nominated participant must already be, or be willing to become an AA member on application, that’s only £38 for a whole year’s membership, which includes the bi-monthly astrological journal. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the astrological community at the annual conference from the 16th to the 18th of September in Wyboston, Bedfordshire. Come and mingle with other astrologers, hear fantastic speakers from all over the world, enjoy 4 * accommodation, good food and have lots of fun! Welcome meetings (cheese and wine provided!) will be held during the weekend for local groups and all new conference participants. Be sure to check the AA website for all conference details. - The group must:
- promote astrology in the local area
- hold regular meetings
- ensure meetings are open to anyone interested in astrology
- be non profit making (i.e. all profits are returned to the group via events
- have an unpaid committee who work together to run the group
- may have a membership scheme may have a constitution
- The application must be:
- from a group that has been in existence for 2 or more years
- for any one individual who is a member of the group and of the AA, both at time of application and at time of conference. (groups may use their own criteria for selecting the applicant)
- accompanied by a current programme of the groups events, either a hard copy or a website link
- have an unpaid committee who work together to run the group
- submitted via the Chair or Secretary of the group
- The group may or may not:
- have a membership scheme
- have a constitution
- The application must not be from:
- any profit making organisation
- a national body
- a group who fielded a successful candidate the previous year..
