Sophia Centre Reborn!

Even as the Sophia Centre at Bath Spa University slowly comes to an end, so we are celebrating its rebirth at the University of Wales, Lampeter. We still have five students completing dissertations at Bath Spa University, and graduation in 2008 should be quite an event, as we give them a grand send-off. Meanwhile, we have moved into our new office at Lampeter and the university staff have all given us an extremely warm welcome. Filing cabinets are in, shelves are up, and our notice board already has announcements. As most people know by now, the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology will be taught as a distance-learning programme, which means that we can take on more students around the world - and it doesn’t matter where you live: whether in Australia, Alabama or Amsterdam, you can study from your own home while still keeping up with your professional and family commitments. We don't have any events confirmed yet for 2008, but we'll soon be announcing our annual graduate conference, so watch this space.

Until then if you are interested, please e mail me at n.campion@lamp.ac.uk (or home ncampion@caol.demon.co.uk) and check out the website at www.lamp.ac.uk/sophia
