Welcome to the May 2003 issue of Transit. Jenni Harte returns with her unique approach on the world. Alice Ekrek reports on the latest developments with the new MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University College. Glenda Cole tells us about the news Astrogroups netwrk and Peta High, the new Press Officer for the Faculty of Astrological Studies, writes about this year's Summer School. Anthony Demetris brings us up to date with the latest news about the Lilly plaque, an article about which appeared recently in the Journal. And we have the return of David Fisher's Musings of a Yorkshire Astrologer. Garry Phillipson opens what is hopefully to be a series of columns by discussing Uranus in Aquarius, what we expected and what actually happened. In this section Transit hopes to discuss what we expected to happen using our astrology - and what actually happened. If you feel that you could contribute in anyway to this section please contact me. .There should be something to please all tastes in this issue - but if not let me know. If there is a demand for certain types of material I can find a contributor who will cover it. If you can offer something yourself even better. I've again inserted email links to the authors of articles. If you want to contact them direct to offer comments please do so. It is helpful if you indicate whether or not you would like your comments published or kept private. Although you obviously can direct any queries and comments to me if you prefer. If there isn't a direct link please forward any comments you may have to me and I'll ensure that they're passed on. Email Transit Jane Amanda has written in to Transit saying; "As part of my studies on the new MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University, I am researching whether there is any discrimination/harassment/less favourable treatment of Astrologers by virtue of their beliefs in/practice of Astrology. I have a special interest in biased laws but have only so far found any in USA through AFAN, and none in the UK since the repeal of s4 Vagrancy Act. I have, however, received complaints of verbal abuse, censorship, exclusion from premises and inflated insurance premiums. Any relevant information, additional complaints and/or referrals would be much appreciated. Please e-mail me if you can help." Email Jane. If you are conducting any research yourself please let me know. Transit can be used to request data, share findings and open up discussions. It needn't be a major statistical project. Even the smallest scale speculative study holds interest for readers. Enjoy this issue of Transit and I look forward to your feedback..
