There are of course many possible charts for the USA. For what it's worth, the data I currently favour is:

For this discussion however, the time isn't critical. My main concern is with the Sun. In this chart, the USA's Sun is at 13 deg 20 min Cancer. George W Bush's Sun is at 13 deg 47 min Cancer1.

And on 25th October 2003, Saturn stations at 13 deg 14 mins Cancer. It doesn't actually reach the Suns in question until mid June 2004.

What will happen? Mundane Astrology2 says that the Sun "…may indicate the supreme authority in the nation - the sovereign body and the leader, the king, queen, president or prime minister". (p.220). Which means that this 13 and a bit degrees area represents Bush twice over.

What happened the last time Saturn transited over the USA's Sun? On 5 August 1974, with Saturn into 12 degrees 50 mins Cancer, Richard Nixon obeyed a court order to hand over the Watergate tapes. On 8th August, Nixon announced his resignation on television, effective the next day. On that next day, 9th August, Saturn reached 13 deg 20 mins Cancer.

The American President isn't however forced to resign every time Saturn contacts the USA's Sun. There are always other factors - such as Pluto loitering with intent just inside the USA's 10th house in August 1974.

The point I'd like to make is simply that something significant-looking is coming up. This seems like a good opportunity to test The Scrying Game's remit and invite comment from our readers on what the forthcoming transit of Saturn to Sun portends for the USA and President Bush, and when?
