Bolton Astrological Society began as a branch of BAPS in 1978 and was formed by Dennis Atkinson. The members decided to form an independent society and David Holmes drew up an electional chart to found the Bolton Astrological Society at 20.10 GMT on 15th April 1980.

We continue to meet every Tuesday at the Ukrainian Club, Castle Street, Bolton (map here) and have recently celebrated our 25th anniversary. David Holmes continues as our Chairman and is author of the book The Shadow Planets.

Since 1994 we have held an annual spring conference attracting astrologers from the north of the country, with both national and international speakers.
