President’s Welcome
2024 Astrological Association Conference
The hyperactive splash chart, includes a six-pointed star and numerous squares. Individual aspects are tightly applying, or just separating. Mars in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces. Mercury in Leo trines Chiron in Aries. Jupiter in Gemini squares Saturn in Pisces. The IC applies to conjunct Uranus in Taurus that makes its retrograde station at 1300 BST on Conference Sunday. All this, while early in the very opening session, the MC/IC axis enters Sagittarius/Gemini and, near to the Ascendent/Descendent axis, the Moon enters Leo, then exactly opposes Pluto. This is thirty-one hours before the planet symbolising regeneration retrogrades from Aquarius to Capricorn. Will this complete the 2008-24 dismantling stage of planetary restructuring?
With so much unfathomable change in the air, the easiest way is to go with the flow, learning as much as possible on the way, seeking the shape of things to come. Fixing minds on the past, or prematurely on what seems to be the future exposes us to dangerous disappointment. Pluto’s last few months in Capricorn for this 246-year cycle is not for clinging on, but to see and let go of what has let us down. So, this year’s Conference is at just the right time to equip our understanding to dispose of past problems, in preparation for a very different future in the decades to come.
For sure, all themes must be considered. Indeed, it is the insistence on our own view and rejection of those of others that lies at the core so much anxiety and alienation that terrorises contemporary personal and social lives. So, do make the most of this opportunity to hear, often be amazed by a variety of approaches and ideas. Be ready that in any of these could be the very approach or insight, you have always been seeking.
The last waning days of any lunar cycle [this one before perfectionist Virgo Moon is new at 02:57 BST Tuesday, 3rd September] are ideally suited for this. Every month, these days are a comfortable time to let go of past issues and position ourselves to receive all we will need going forward. So, in addition to a wide range of excellent insightful sessions, this year’s conference is structured with more time between them. Use it to rest and absorb. If you wish, share informally with old and new colleagues.
Experience the joy of exchanging ideas in a common language of deep astrological insight that breaks through barriers of varied tongues. At astrology conferences, so much more can be exchanged and understood than at any other gathering.
Which brings me to the fun side! Include some time to let the mind rest in these comfortable new surroundings. Meet old friends, make new ones. Arrange future contacts. Open doors, create space for growth in your life.
Enjoy the gift of astrology!
