Faculty of Astrological Studies Online Seminars

OUR ONLINE SEMINARS are open to everyone. Many topics directly support the material of the Faculty course modules, making them ideal for Faculty students. However, no previous affiliation with the Faculty is required in order to enrol.
Each seminar costs £35. You do not need to attend in real time. Your enrolment gives you access to a recording for 30 days – perfect for review or if you were unable to attend when the seminar was broadcast.
The Faculty uses Zoom as an online platform. Please email onlineseminars@astrology.org.uk with any queries, and see our website for full details.
Marsilio Ficino & Astral Magic
with Frances Clynes
Thursday 19th October
7–8.30pm BST
Renaissance priest, Ficino (1433–1499), believed that the gods were embodied in the planets and in the material world. Earthly objects were associated with specific planets and could carry the power of that planet and, because of this, allowed us to communicate with the individual planets, which he saw as aspects of the human psyche.
This talk will look at the astral magic of Ficino and how it would influence the birth of the theosophical movement in the 19th century and the development of psychological astrology in the 20th.
