Solar Arc Directions:
Taking Control of our Future
with Mark Fountain
Saturday 18th November
3.00–4.30pm GMT
Solar arc directions sometimes get less attention than they should, perhaps because some astrologers and astrology students prefer to work with transits and Solar Returns, which they may feel are more accessible and comprehensible. But the reality is that solar arc directions can be very obvious in their manifestation, frequently symbolizing concrete events in someone’s external life, and so at first sight they may appear superficially similar to transits. However, because solar arc directions are based on the movement of the Sun, they tend to show fully conscious decisions we make about how to develop our natal potential. But these decisions are not a mere response to external pressures or influences. Directions can describe the experiences we actively and deliberately seek – experiences that help us become who we truly are and contribute to the achievement of our life purpose. Working with directions can be a useful reminder of how much control we have over our lives.
This webinar aims to explore the true nature of solar arc directions and how they differ from other commonly used forecasting techniques. There will be a focus on how we can use solar arc directions to enrich and deepen an astrological forecast. In addition, the session will include examples taken from case histories that reveal how aspects between the directed chart and the natal chart can symbolize major events in someone’s life.
